Detailing
Boat detailing is much more than a rinse and scrub. It removes grime and mildew while protecting vinyl, gelcoat, and metal surfaces from long-term wear. The result is a cleaner, brighter vessel that’s easier to maintain through the season.

Polishing & gelcoat restoration
Over time, exposure to sun, water, and contaminants can fade the gelcoat and make your boat look chalky. Our polishing process removes oxidation and fine imperfections, revealing a clear, mirror-like finish.

Our approach
Every boat’s surface is different:
Newer boats usually need a single-step polish to enhance gloss and remove light oxidation.
Older or sun-faded hulls often need a multi-stage restoration with wet sanding to fully restore depth and shine. Quotes are provided after inspection so you know exactly what’s needed.
Unsure if your boat needs a full restoration or just a light polish? We’ll assess the condition and recommend the right approach so you only pay for what’s necessary.

Included protection
Each polishing service includes a marine-grade sealant or ceramic booster that shields against UV and oxidation for roughly 6 months. This makes it a great option for pre-season preparation or end-of-season care.
Why environment matters
Polishing and restoration are best done indoors or in controlled conditions. Heat, sun, and airborne debris can affect results, so all major correction work is performed in our shop for consistent, high-quality finishes. Mobile services are ideal for maintenance-cleaning and light polishing.
Ceramic coatings
Marine ceramic coatings form a durable, glass-like barrier that locks in shine and shields against oxidation, salt spray, and chemical staining. They make cleaning easier and preserve that freshly polished look for years, not months.

True ceramics are not waxes or sprays. They require meticulous preparation and skilled application. We’ll guide you through what’s best for your boat, your budget, and your maintenance routine.
Wash & degrease
We begin with a thorough wash to remove surface grime, followed by a degreasing step that strips old waxes and contaminants from the gelcoat.
Decontamination
Iron and mineral removers lift embedded contaminants from below the surface to prevent future staining and ensure a clean base before correction.
Polishing and surface correction
Areas affected by oxidation, water spots, or dullness are carefully machine-polished to restore depth and clarity to the gelcoat, creating a flawless surface for coating adhesion.
Coating application
Areas affected by oxidation, water spots, or dullness are carefully machine-polished to restore depth and clarity to the gelcoat, creating a flawless surface for coating adhesion. A high-solids marine ceramic coating is applied in small 16×16-inch sections. Each section is levelled after flashing to achieve uniform bonding and a long-lasting, glossy finish.
Final inspection
Every inch of the hull and topside is checked to confirm even protection, consistent gloss, and a smooth, durable surface.

Maintenance
To keep your coating performing like new, we recommend annual checkups and gentle maintenance washes throughout the boating season.
Why environment matters
Ceramic coatings can be applied outdoors, and many vessels are coated dockside, but stable conditions lead to more consistent results. Whenever possible, we recommend completing your coating installation at our Metcalfe location for controlled curing and optimal finish quality.
